I am so glad that we homeschool!

today was the first day back for public schools around here. I was on facebook a few minutes ago and saw all these people complaining about their schools and teachers and everything else you can think about schools doing. it just brought a smile to my face and i was filled with joy because we homeschool and i do not have to deal with other people educating my children.

Thank you Jesus for allowing me to educate my children!

Job crawled

so yesterday Job crawled forward for the first time. he has been crawling backward for awhile but has figured out that he can go forward now.

the funny thing is is that i will forever remember the first day he crawled because it was the the day that the dallas cowboys played their first home game in their new stadium, yes he is my son. how sweet it was for him to wait until then.

he still does not have it down totally but i give it a week and i will have trouble keeping up with him. he is so cute because he gets up and wiggles his little bootie then starts off.

he does really well going from belly to sitting up but the boy refuses to roll from back to belly, silly boy.

church

we went to church tonight, the first time in a long time since we have been traveling a lot over the past month and a half.  we go to a family integrated church that rents a church out on saturday nights.

we feel like a baby family (with only 3 kids) in the church because most families have at least 6 kids there. it is great. I feel such at home there and long for saturday nights.

going there makes me smile and i feel that i see what God has in store for our family.

good night and God Bless you all!

LARRY!

So today grammy took the kids in the back yard to clean out a flower bed and Will found a frog! Alyssa asked if they could name it Larry he said, "yeah, thats fine"

Will kept asking if he could keep larry and I of course kept coming up with reasons why we could not, main one being that we don't have a place to put him, but i did tell him that i would keep my eyes out for an aquarium at garage sales so the next time larry wanted to play we could keep him safe.

Will held larry for at least an hour, well i say held he would let him down then catch him again then do it all over again.

He was very sad when we had to leave to go to the store, he just kept saying, "but i want him" it broke my heart. I praise God that I have a boy that is all boy!!

Oklahoma

Ok so really I am catching up, we are all done traveling so the next few posts will be on our travels.

We went to Oklahoma to see my brother-in-law off. He is being shipped off to Iraq. while we were there we went to his fav sushi place "in the raw", it was so good

this place was right down town

nick took the kids over to watch the guy make our sushi (good homeschool kids, learning)
our "cool guy" kept giving the kids samples yyyyyyuuuuummmmmm
our sushi
this is what ash and chris got
the cousins eating sushi with their chop sticks, if you can see our waitress brought out these little things that hook the sticks together we have only ever gotten rubber bands put on them

right out the door of in the raw was the little water way that the tour boats go on so we walked a little with the kiddos. there were these ducks and they were so not scared of anything they wanted food
it was very pretty, we had to watch natalie she almost went swiming like four times
ok i know this is a weird pic but on the way back to texas we had to stop so i could nurse Job and we parked next to this field. As i was nursing we saw 5 field mice, so what did this homeschooling family do we stayed alot longer and just watched and i am so glad we did the whole time we were there we only saw 3 then as we stayed longer we saw 2 little bitty babies they were so cute                           what an honor to see Gods love and creativeness          we had a great car ride home talking about the little mice family.
