playpen play

We do not have room in our room for a crib for Job and I am not ready to put him the kids room yet, so I set up the playpen every night for him to sleep in.

So every morning now the older two like to play with Job in his bed just like they used to do in my bed with him. here are a few pics, I am so truely blessed that they get along to well!

my little stairsteps
monkey in the middle
talking about what they are going to be playing (so funny, they just talk to Job like he is about the same age as them, no baby talk, they just include him as a peer)

Alyssas new Bible

About a month ago we took the kids to the Christian book store and had Alyssa pick out a new bible, since she was reading so well. She picked one out and cried as we left without it, even after we told her our plan.

Our plan was that she set a goal, she was to read so many books and when she had completed this goal she would get the bible she picked out.

one month later she is done, she told me last night in bed that she had just finished her last book. So Nick and I took her to the store today.

She picked this one out even though it is not the original one she loved it more.

We are so proud of her for being so diligent in keeping focused on her goal, not giving up, and being so patient while waiting to fulfill her goal.

Aly cat with her new Bible
Will was proud of her too and made a funny face for a picture.

2 Wheeling it!

The kids came inside the other day and said that they wanted their training wheels taken off, so I got the wrench, helmets and pads and we were off. Nick and I took them both outside and worked with them and in less than 30 min. my 6 yr old and 4 yr old were riding their bikes on only 2 wheels.

Nick and I both thought it was going to be so much harder than it was to teach them. We are so proud of them both for getting up and staying determined even with all the falling

Nick helping Will
Nick keeping up with Aly
getting Will back on the right path
Off on her own!

This was really the first time I have seen just how competitive Will is he was going to get this done because Alyssa was doing it. They both did great.

Children are a blessing!

Nick and I have talked alot about children. When we got married we wanted 2, then when I was pregnant with my second Nick said that if the baby was another girl that we could try for one more to try and get a boy. When I found out that we were having a boy, I was very said at the thought of not having any more kids.

Then we went to wanting 4 and then 6. We are now to the point that we have given up on us deciding, and have put it in the hands of God to decide how many children He wants for us to have.

Although we have discussed this many times, I have never sat and dwelled on it (in a good way). Today I did and I am excited about where I think God is taking us family wise. Don't get me wrong I am very happy with my 3 blessings I just feel that our family is just not complete.

Now if I am wrong and 3 is what God wants for us I will rejoice in His will (and for obvious reasons)(labor being the main one) but I do think that there will be more little blessings in the future.

So until then Lord give me the knowledge, organization skills, and patience in preparing to have a large family.

TV Buddies!

Man O Man! LOL I was going through my pictures and found this keeper. This is probably 7 months ago but look how cute they look. Both watching TV.

Being Little Helpers

Alyssa and Will wanted to feed Job. They took turns and everything.

In the picture Will is even showing Job to open his mouth. I am truely blessed that they all get along. With Gods help I hope this continues.

Happy Times

So today as I was looking through my not blogged yet pictures I saw these and I just had to add them!

As you can tell by Job these were taken a few months ago.

How cute!
Look at those freckles. lol.

play ball, amelia bedelia

Alyssa rides with me on monday afternoons to deliver some laundry and she brought a book. Play Ball, Amelia Bedelia this was her first amelia bedelia book to read so she had no clue what to expect. she began reading and had a smile on her face as she did.

when Amelia Bedelia went and put on a uniform Alyssa said, "that is a cool uniform but I hope she does not go out in public in that" I about died that was to funny.

I told her that all the Amelia Bedelia books are like that. That she is very silly and very very literal. Alyssa just got so excited and now she can't wait to read more of those books.

The plan

OK so i know that i have been gone for awhile. i have been sorting somethings out, getting somethings into habits and i now believe that i can commit to blogging everyday.

please forgive me.

so for the next few days (if you follow my blog) i am going to be posting more than one post per day just getting alot of blog worthy stuff up to date.

Geocaching!!

So we started a new family hobby, it called Geocaching! man is it fun! for those of you who do not know what geocaching is it is basically hiking and treasure hunting at the same time.

what you do is get on the website geocaching.com find a cache close to you put the lat and long into your gps and go hunt for it when you find it there is a log in it so you can log that you were there then you take a little trinket that someone left and you leave one as well.

it is so fun getting outdoors as a family with a mission. there are over 800 within 5 miles of my house.

the first one we found was trolls love pretty little stones and it was under a bridge (a walking bridge) ssssoooo ffffuuuunnnn!!!!!!

I am so glad that we decided to get into this because all you need is a GPS it is free to go and find these caches and today we love free.

I am so glad that we homeschool!

today was the first day back for public schools around here. I was on facebook a few minutes ago and saw all these people complaining about their schools and teachers and everything else you can think about schools doing. it just brought a smile to my face and i was filled with joy because we homeschool and i do not have to deal with other people educating my children.

Thank you Jesus for allowing me to educate my children!

Job crawled

so yesterday Job crawled forward for the first time. he has been crawling backward for awhile but has figured out that he can go forward now.

the funny thing is is that i will forever remember the first day he crawled because it was the the day that the dallas cowboys played their first home game in their new stadium, yes he is my son. how sweet it was for him to wait until then.

he still does not have it down totally but i give it a week and i will have trouble keeping up with him. he is so cute because he gets up and wiggles his little bootie then starts off.

he does really well going from belly to sitting up but the boy refuses to roll from back to belly, silly boy.

church

we went to church tonight, the first time in a long time since we have been traveling a lot over the past month and a half.  we go to a family integrated church that rents a church out on saturday nights.

we feel like a baby family (with only 3 kids) in the church because most families have at least 6 kids there. it is great. I feel such at home there and long for saturday nights.

going there makes me smile and i feel that i see what God has in store for our family.

good night and God Bless you all!

LARRY!

So today grammy took the kids in the back yard to clean out a flower bed and Will found a frog! Alyssa asked if they could name it Larry he said, "yeah, thats fine"

Will kept asking if he could keep larry and I of course kept coming up with reasons why we could not, main one being that we don't have a place to put him, but i did tell him that i would keep my eyes out for an aquarium at garage sales so the next time larry wanted to play we could keep him safe.

Will held larry for at least an hour, well i say held he would let him down then catch him again then do it all over again.

He was very sad when we had to leave to go to the store, he just kept saying, "but i want him" it broke my heart. I praise God that I have a boy that is all boy!!

Oklahoma

Ok so really I am catching up, we are all done traveling so the next few posts will be on our travels.

We went to Oklahoma to see my brother-in-law off. He is being shipped off to Iraq. while we were there we went to his fav sushi place "in the raw", it was so good

this place was right down town

nick took the kids over to watch the guy make our sushi (good homeschool kids, learning)
our "cool guy" kept giving the kids samples yyyyyyuuuuummmmmm
our sushi
this is what ash and chris got
the cousins eating sushi with their chop sticks, if you can see our waitress brought out these little things that hook the sticks together we have only ever gotten rubber bands put on them

right out the door of in the raw was the little water way that the tour boats go on so we walked a little with the kiddos. there were these ducks and they were so not scared of anything they wanted food
it was very pretty, we had to watch natalie she almost went swiming like four times
ok i know this is a weird pic but on the way back to texas we had to stop so i could nurse Job and we parked next to this field. As i was nursing we saw 5 field mice, so what did this homeschooling family do we stayed alot longer and just watched and i am so glad we did the whole time we were there we only saw 3 then as we stayed longer we saw 2 little bitty babies they were so cute                           what an honor to see Gods love and creativeness          we had a great car ride home talking about the little mice family.

Creation Evidence Museum

Well I do not think I will ever get caught up on blogging for this summer because just when I think I have time to sit down and get some blogs put up it is time for something else or as a mom I just think everything is blog worthy, LOL!

We were in Wisdom Booklet 2 and had the perfect spot to take a field trip, so we went to the creation evidence museum while learning about creation vs. evolution.

man was this fun and cheap. $5 per family or $2 per person (no limit on size of family). It is located in Glenrose, TX so it was about 2 hours away. here are some things that we saw, they also show a video for free for you to watch that tells about everything in there and about what they do.

This is a hammer made pre flood the story on this is incredible, they say that this hammer could not be reproduced today because the iron is so pure and has no bubbles.

this is a buffalo skull that the kids said i just had to take a picture of

this is a dinosaur footprint with a human footprint on it as well that was found in the paluxy(?) river bed. actually you can follow this one dino footprints for over a mile in the river bottom.

this is a model of noahs are pretty cool

a mammoth skeleton next to a dino head
this is a fossilized finger (eeewwww)

another dino footprint with a human footprint inside of it

human footprint thought to have been over 7 feet tall

the paluxy (?) river
the creation evidence museum. So much fun!!
