what you do is get on the website geocaching.com find a cache close to you put the lat and long into your gps and go hunt for it when you find it there is a log in it so you can log that you were there then you take a little trinket that someone left and you leave one as well.
it is so fun getting outdoors as a family with a mission. there are over 800 within 5 miles of my house.
the first one we found was trolls love pretty little stones and it was under a bridge (a walking bridge) ssssoooo ffffuuuunnnn!!!!!!
I am so glad that we decided to get into this because all you need is a GPS it is free to go and find these caches and today we love free.

I first heard about this last year from a friend and it does sound like a lot of fun for folks.
Treasure hunts are the best, plus you get exercise. Can't beat that!
Hmmm I wonder if using a map will work too for those who don't have a GPS....
