Girls Night!!

Well, the other night Nick and Will and the guys all went to the Rangers (baseball) game Nick said that Alyssa and I could go but I told him that I was going to use this time as a girls night! We had so much fun, praise God for little girls!

Her painting my toenails she picked the colors (yes colors) a pattern, she said that that is what she wanted and she wanted us to be twinkies!!
Me painting her little piggies
twinkies!!!! (I forgot I had the pattern on my toes and went to church with open toed shoes on and had to explain alot, lol) She loved it
We made cookies with girly colored sprinkles, although the guys ate most all of them when they got back, silly boys
Alyssa eating a pink one of course
We did our hair, sideways ponytails OH YEAH
Job was here with us because nursing babies don't do so well with out there momma
My #1 Girl
then we played barbies till well past our bedtime, lol

I am so glad I saved all my barbies from when I was a little girl to give to her, just remembering all the fun I had with them and to she her having fun with the same ones is just a joy! Thank you Jesus for letting me be able to have a girls night with my Alyssa.

Brothers, and it begins!

Well the other day Will asked if I could put baby Job down next to him, so they could play.

Will telling Job to sit up straight for the picture, what a helper
Cheesing, look how long legged Job is, to funny (he is in the 95th percentile for height and 25th percentile for weight, but the doctor does not mind b/k Nick and I are both little and he is healthy and strong)
Funny faces!
serious guys!
Then Will asked me to watch Job (to funny, I was sitting there the whole time) b/k he had to get something.

He came back with his sword, then he taught Job how to hold the sword and how to "get peoples with it"
What a proud big brother!!

Job did "get Will with it" (he kind of  slapped Will in the face) and Will wide eyed looked at me and smiled and said I think he got it!!  I about died!  Jesus has given me one of those little blessed moments in time that I pray I will not soon forget, and I pray that the next few brother moments are this funny!

Dinosaur Valley

We took the kiddos down to Dinosaur Valley in Glen Rose, TX on friday and man did we have fun. The day was spent laughing, splashing, fishing, looking, and for Alyssa and I shaking.

When we first got there the boys went straight to fishing but where they got down it was alittle steep so Alyssa and I went up the trail to see if we could find a easier way down to the water, well we found a little trail and then a smaller trail off of that Alyssa said she wanted to go first this time so she went ahead, she was maybe 7 feet ahead of me and I saw a snake! it was in between her and I on the side of the trail, I stopped and calmly said, "Alyssa calmly and quickly come to me" she looked at me and then at the snake and did just that I was so proud i meen this kid is afraid of everything and she handled this perfectly I must say I was pretty proud of myself to for not freaking out I meen I had Job strapped to me a snake in between me and my daughter and nick up the river.

After we got back to the big trail I stopped and said lets pray and thank God for protecting us and keeping us safe. We did. What a blessing it was not only to come out of that unharmed but also to show Alyssa that we can praise God for it as well. Then Alyssa prayed that everyone else would be safe from that snake as well (what a heart this one has).

Will fishing (we have created a monster, a fishing monster!!)

Monster ants these things were like an inch long
looking at the ants, goofs
Job looking at them looking at the ants, did you follow that?
there was a school field trip group at the dino footprints (acting a fool I might add, and the teachers just standing there doing nothing, I am so glad God has called me to homeschool) so we waited, patiently I might add I was a proud momma
Still waiting
DINO prints, very cool
this spot was loaded with footprints
daddy met us at this spot (for lunch) but before we ate he caught a bass

Job fell asleep at lunch
After lunch the kiddos and i sat in the car (AC) to cool down some and let Job sleep alittle I decided to drive around the park and see what there was and I found this little playground away from the main area it was in the campgrounds so Alyssa and Will played  awhile no one was there and i could park the car right there next to the swings  I also nursed Job here because of the privacy.
We then went and looked at the dino statues man were they big, the kids asked if i would read the signs in front of them (good homeschool kiddos lol)

I did however i skipped the 6 million years ago parts. lol

photo op
we drove around alittle more before our meeting time with daddy to swim before leaving and we saw this doe with her two little fawns. so cute God is so good.

swimming and swapping stories.

The kids on the way back home I think we wore them out!! I joined them not long after this pic was taken!

What a great time we had, Thank You Jesus for giving us this time together learning and exploring as a family!

Bright Eyes

Ok so I know that I have not blogged in a while (besides yesterday), but yesterday when emptied out my camera onto my computer of all the stuff that we have been doing I found this picture from a month ago when the temperature dropped.  Here is Job with his little (Wills old) winter hat.

His eyes are so gorgeous. I love this picture!

ATI Homeschool Conference

We went to Big Sandy, TX for the ATI Homeschool Conference. Man did we have a blast, just being around people that have the same mind set on raising their families, homeschooling, Christ centered I did not want to leave. Here are some pics of our week!

These two are of breakfast.

Nick and Job heading to the conference center to check out the book table!
Opening ceremonies!! This was awesome, very powerful.

After breakfast one morning, I was washing the dishes so Job played with his airplane.
Alyssa was in class and Nick, Job, Will and I started our sessions, which were awesome, so filled with motivation and knowledge.

There were like four or five rows of campers with these sidewalks in between them all the kids would just ride and ride their bikes and scooters on them it was like leave it to beaver days when people would let their kids play with out being overly cautious it was amazing!
The Duggars bus.
When we were walking down to the center Alyssa and her class were outside playing.
Walking into the main center.
Our home for the week, we got nicknamed the rocking chair people b/k Nick brought the wooden rocker, we know how to roll!
Alyssa and Will on their scooters! Will told me that Job wanted to wear his sun glasses so he put them on him and I guess Job really did want to wear them because he just lit up he loved it, can you tell?
They slept well!!
